Home Stay Programs
- English as a Second Language
Our HomeStay program offers the opportunity for
both adults and teenagers from abroad to spend
their summer vacation in Colorado and learn
English while enjoying the recreational and
cultural activities that the surrounding area
has to offer. Students reside with an American
family for the entire stay and spend their
mornings learning at the center and afternoons
visiting local venues for a more complete
experience. Situated at the foot of the Front
Range, with spectacular views of majestic Pikes
Peak, Colorado Springs is the perfect location
to visit while attending our program
This new
GlobeLink FLC venture is designed for people
from all parts of the world who would like to
improve their English in an English-speaking
environment and enjoy the activities and culture
of Colorado during their vacation.
Summer programs currently run during the months
of June, July, and August. In addition to the 4
hours per day of English language instruction,
these 2- or 3-week programs include local
site-seeing and recreational activities.
The English language instruction programs focus
on American culture, conversational English, and
practical reading and writing skills.
Activities planned for the summer programs
include trips to the many local Rocky Mountain
attractions and visits to centers of culture in
Colorado Springs and Denver. Students also may
choose to go river rafting, hiking, mountain
biking, and to participate in American sports.
Students live with American host families which
gives them the chance to practice English every
day and to learn about American culture
directly. GlobeLink FLC only selects host
families with comfortable and convenient
accommodation. Our host families are interested
in other cultures and want to welcome you and
help you enjoy your stay in America.
Teenagers and Adults have separate programs. We
make every effort to match students with the
best host family and the most suitable student
group possible to make your vacation a
fantastic, enjoyable and fulfilling experience!!
