Translation services
Translation is a process that renders the meaning of a source text into
a target-language document.
Although software tools and hardware platforms continue to advance,
translation is still a craft and not a science. Translation will always
require human intervention and human intuition. GlobeLink FLC’s
appreciation for this human factor is what distinguishes us from our
competitors. We understand that a translator must have an in-depth
understanding and knowledge of at least two languages: a foreign
language and a mother tongue. He or she must be able to write well and
have an excellent command of the nuances of both the source and target
languages. Finally, since no language is free of cultural influences, a
quality translation also requires more than just linguistic accuracy;
the translation must capture the tone, style and voice of the source
text, and at the same time be rendered appropriately in its new
cultural context.
GlobeLink FLC translators are carefully chosen not only for their
linguistic skills, but also for their technical expertise. Our
translators include graduate-level linguists with credentials in a
broad range of professions and trades. Project teams also include
editors, technical revisers, and/or proofreaders, as appropriate. In

We conduct a word count, review the scope and complexity of the
project, and calculate the turnaround time. Your quotation will be
ready within 24 hours. Timelines for completion of translation services
vary, and will be determined on an individual basis
2) Translation:
We
assign your document to a team of professional translators with
expertise in your document’s subject area.
3) Review, Editing and
Proofreading:
Whenever needed or if document exceeds 2,500
words, your translation is carefully reviewed and edited by a second
translator.
4) Formatting and Delivery:
Your document is delivered in the original format, or any other you
care to specify (MS Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, QuarkXpress, HTML and
many others).
